Sharing Word Macros

I want to create a few macros that I want to share with my workgroup on a network. I have set the workgroup pointer to a directory on the network and created a .dot file and copied the macros to the .dot file. When I go back into word these macros are not available until I go into organize macros and open that .dot file.

Am I missing something? Do I need to name the file something special?

I'm not sure, but I think you only have access to the macros in files you have open. Your normal.dot opens automatically when you start Word. Maybe you could put a macro in everyone's normal.dot that runs automatically when normal.dot is opened that would open the workgroup .dot file on the network.
