It was just approved for 10 credits by the SOA. It is March 7-9 in Florida. I don't know how long it will take the SOA to post it in the approved list so here is the info for those interested:

Link to JHA website is here (http://jhaweb.com/jhapp/dynamics/main.aspx).

There are some workshops that are not approved. Here is the list of NOT APPROVED:
March 7
-- DI Distribution
-- Strategies for Competitive Intelligence
March 8
-- Claim Management Training
-- The Voice of the Employer: Live online focus groups
-- The Multi-Life Disability Triangle
-- Worksite Products – Reaching Tomorrow’s Market
March 9
-- Deal or No Deal?
-- 2006 JHA U.S. Group Disability Rate & Risk Management Survey Review.

I'm about confused about where the 10 credits comes from. I had originally calculated 5 sessions at 1.25 credits each plus 1.5 from the opening panel discussion and 1.0 from the closing remarks. Thus, 8.75. Is the total greater than the sum of its parts, or am I missing a session?

I'm confused about why you're questioning it! If the SOA says 10, who am I to argue.

yea, but you still have to indicate the hours that you spent to justify the 10 credits.

my breakdown for the 10 credits is this:

- Dynamic of Disability (March 7-9, 2007)
o Disability Insurance – Why it Matters - 1.50
o Group Disability Underwriting – Where do We Go From Here - 1.25
o A Macro Forecast - 1.25
o DI – is the Cancer risk worth underwriting -1.25
o Physician Demographics- The Changing Medical Profession- 1.25
o You Just don’t Understand- Perspectives from All Sides - 1.25
o DI and Critical Illness- A Match Made in Heaven? - 1.25
o Our Industry… Opportunities & Challenges - 1.00

Persephone Ashes,
Thanks for your response. I hadn't realized that The Macro Forecast (general session) was a session that 'counted' towards credits. It makes me really wish I had attended that session!
