What spices/herbs/condiments/seasonings do you like the best? The least?

Lemon pepper or Lawry's Seasoning Salt are my favs. Oh, and some tabasco sauce on eggs.

Garlic, garlic, garlic. (I buy the LARGE jar of minced garlic - FWIW a chef friend of mine says he uses that most of the time instead of "fresh", which can be dried out.)

Cilantro, tobasco sauce and lemon in my chicken soup, thank you.

Or, better yet, I'd like a little chicken soup to go with my cilantro, lemon and tobasco suace, please!

Louisiana hot sauce - tastes good on everything!

Worst - anything with a licorice taste to it (anise, fennel).

the classics: oregano, basil, garlic, cinnamon

Mace - great in cookies.

Cinnamon, Cilantro, Basil and wasabe (I'm not sure if roots are considered herbs, but boy is wasabe tasty!). I would never mix any of these together.

Emeril's Essence: The packaged form has salt added which I really don't care for but I suppose it increases shelf life. I use it on a wide variety of foods.

I also like fresh ground black pepper and paprika on their own...

Any kind of salsa, as long as it's HOT! If it don't have habaneros, it ain't worth eating!

Dill is another favorite, especaily with fish. And I find I use more cilantro nowadays than I used to, especially in sauces.

For eggs, it's a toss-up between seafood cocktail sauce and El Yucateco picante.

I love garlic, hot sauce, and anything Indian.

I can't think of any spices I don't like- turmeric is a little weird, but I suppose that in small amounts combined with the right additional spices, I'd like that, too. My husband doesn't like dill, which I can't figure out at all.

Cumin can ruin something fairly quickly (See Trader Joe's frozen Curry dishes for an example).

Salzmann, I'm right with your husband and detest dill in basically everything except pickles. There's something really wrong about it.

Cardamom has a wonderful bright flavor. Be careful not to use too much.
