Has anyone changed job after they sumbitted their completed PD plan but before it has been approved by the SOA? Can this be done?

i don't understand why you wouldn't be able to do it. your PD plan has nothing to do with where you work

but if was based on work data, or your plan sponsor (or whatever) was from the old company, it could be hard.

but if your completed (which i assume means executed) plan has already been submitted, shouldn't everything regarding your advisor and project be concluded? Sure if your plan has been rejected for some reason, it would be inconvenient, but assuming that that doesn't happen, i can't see how it would make a difference.

I have a related question. Has anyone left their employer after starting their PD, but not completing it? Did the former employer make you repay PD filing fee, completed seminar fees, etc?

Now that you've submitted your PD, you probably don't care about the answer.

This actually did happen to one of my current co-workers. Not sure if the prior employer made him pay back PD filing fee and other costs (but I doubt it), but the advisor would no longer agree to be his advisor, so he had to switch.

Apparently, that was a major pain in the :moon:

thanks marian. yeah, i got dumped by my advisor, too. and it probably delayed my submission a bit, but i'm still glad i made the switch!

Well, I just submitted mine today. I switched industries, so all my PD was in my prior industry, but everything is written as if I were still there. I almost thought my advisor was going to drop me, but she didn't. I also did not have to do a project, just attended two SOA meetings. I did learn a lot, but I don't know how much I'll be able to apply to my current position.

Also, my old company did not come after me for filing fees or payback for the two SOA meetings.
