Does anyone else feel that the only way they are going to pass is if everyone taking the exam is really, really, really dumb?

Hey - I remember feeling really bad about my chances on Course 6, but afterwards I said, "They can't fail us all!"

I was right. They didn't fail us all. (The pass rate was pretty typical for Course 6 that sitting.)

Anyway, keep that happy thought in mind. ;)

So, how dumb are you. I need to know if I should start feeling better about my chances.

Pretty dumb.

With the lack of 'trust' I have in the SOA, it wouldn't surprise me if they made up names of people who passed to give the illusion that there was a higher pass rate. Who's going to audit them?

Well, I would doubt they'd go to the trouble of putting in fake candidate numbers and names because for some exams, and some sittings, the pass rate was much lower than usual (and yes, I remember a few times there was a big stink when that happened). You'd think they'd be a bit consistent on that.

Also, it's just much easier not to tweak the data -- there's too many ways one can slip up. I think people would get suspicious if Seymour Butz and Amanda Hugankiss showed up on the pass lists.
