Actuarial appraisal educational objection

My PD plan is based on the Life Financial Reporting concentration, and I'm basically using the SOA's model plan for this concentration. Under the the "financial reporting" objective, the model plan lists actuarial appraisals as one of the items to be covered through attending seminars, etc. I can't find any sessions in any of the 2006 SOA programs (VAS, Spring Meeting, etc.) that address appraisals.

I'm curious what other people did to satisfy this part. I'm thinking about just relating embedded value (for which there are plenty of sessions) to appraisals even though they aren't the same thing exactly. Thoughts?

On mine, they accepted items pertaining to Embedded Value, ERM, Economic Captial and Securitization which I highlighted in the final summary within a combined discussion on appraisals, capital and performance measures.
