PD - If project was completed in the past

I have a question about the timing of the project completion, specifically if I want to use a project that was completed earlier than my PD plan was submitted. Here is my situation: I have passed 1-8 and submitted my initial PD plan in April of 2006. The project that I want to use was started in mid-2005, with follow up work that lasted in various forms through 2006. My question is: Will they not accept a project that was performed primarily before my PD plan was submitted?
