BA 2 PLus Calculator Shortcut

I thought I saw a post explaining how to use the BA 2 plus to calculate the Std Deviation for a series of stock prices...? Does anyone know where that post is? I tried a search for key words ("calculator", "BA 2plus" etc) , but had no luck.

I'm assuming that this is for the estimation of volatility. But wouldn't it be easier to put the ln(Stock price (t+1)/Stock price (t)) into the stats menu on the TI-30 X and then find the std. deviation.
