In light of the disastrous event, I am scared of flying to Atlanta for FAC. Any thoughts?

I'm driving to the Atlanta FAC.

But I live in Atlanta.
But driving in Atlanta is far more dangerous than flying to Atlanta. Enjoy your flight. Earn some frequent flyer miles. The airlines are safer than ever after a hijacking.

Maybe he is scared to drive now too. Perhaps he could walk.

Instead of flying or driving, I'll think I will bike there. After all, I train about 300 miles a week on my bike now.

I'm the Anonymmous from Atlanta. Riding a bike, or even being a pedestrian is Atlanta is far more dangerous then driving a car. (very serious) - I recall a survey several years back - Atlanta is the most dangerous city in America for pedestrians. Do yourself a favor - fly or drive a car.

I am a different anonymous from Atlanta. It is only so dangerous walking because so many folks run out in the middle of the street, ignoring crosswalks and lights. Many of them do not speak english, which is probably why they don't understand the traffic rules. That being said, if you understand what the crosswalks mean, you are pretty safe.

I have lived in many cities, I have never before seen large groups of folks running en masse across divided highways becase they are too lazy to walk 1 block up for the light. It is very bizarre- my friends told me about it, but you have to see it to understand the extent of the problem.

You know, you're really messing up the "post kill" stats by doing this.

Seems like that shouldn't really be a stat since a thread is never fully dead....it can always be revived.

Or maybe thread reviver could be a stat :D

I thought we decided that we were long lost fourth cousins on our mother's sister's uncle's stepson's grocer's stockboy's roomate's gerbil's vet's step-grand-uncle in-law's side.

What happened?

ATGTF! :shake:

*("another thread gone to flirt")

Another classic example of improper posting ettiquette.

Now if Pi Man had used the < > codes, he COULD have written:

ATGTF!* :shake:

*("another thread gone to flirt")

But no. He leaves a dangling asterix and confused readers.

This has been a Public Service Announcement by the AAAHCA.

We should always have a thread started by "Guest" on the front page, as a rememberance of times of yore.

Avi, hope this didn't cut into your study time too much, we have an exam to pass, you know. But I suppose you might be confident enough at this point, since you seemed to have covered the WHOLE FREAKIN SYLLABUS already.. :)

Guests are still the same. "Guest" = the bones of a banned ID. Or so people tell me...
