Does anyone know what is a left tail calibration method? What tail is CTE? ( I always confuse right/left)! Sorry.

Is lognormal left tail? ( Black scholes?)

left tail is the left tail of a distribution - ie, the part that's way negative (typically, bad losses). The "tail end" means the flat part at the end (looks like a tail), which often means that the distribution is skewed to the right (fat on the right side)
