They had a short little segment on NPR's Morning Edition this morning regarding the Canes. They interviewed an FCAS named Nancy Watkins from Milliman. See link.

If State of Florida or some consulting firm can create reinsurance packages that will be attractive to reinsurance market participants, then perhaps FL could still be a secure place to live.
If no attractive product can be made, then too bad for people who live there.
How about strips of latitude ranges?

First day of storm season, and we've already had A(ndrea) & B(arry), threatening FL from both sides. FL's hot already. "I hear hurricane's a blowin' ... I know the end is comin' soon" :note: :shake2:
