Has anyone taken one of these seminars? Which course was it for? How did you like it?
I am contemplating taking the course 3 seminar and would like some feedback.

I took the Course 3 seminar for the May 2001 sitting - and did not find it helpful. He makes life contg way too difficult - he uses calculus for every problem (which is NOT necessary) and if you fall behind at all it is very difficult to catch up. He basically uses his manual - ASM which you purchase separately and gives weekly pointers and quizzes. Personally - I think you would be better off working on your own and attending one of Batten's seminars.

I took Ramanathan's Internet class for SOA Course 3 and went from a 4 to 6.
The main value for me was having a source to go to when I was stuck on a specific problem. He was very good about giving quick responses to questions - same day or next day e-mail.
Taking his mid-terms and finals under timed conditions also helped me realize the importance of time management during the actual exam.
Keeping up with his weekly assignment also ensures that you cover all the material before the exam with some review time.
Of course, there are not any lectures so you are still basically in a self-study mode in learning the syllabus.
