Have any of you attended or known someone who attended Richard Dorman's "Pricing and Rate Making in Plain English" seminars for non-actuaries?
Please PM me and tell me if you would recommend them to non-actuarial personnel or not.
Thanks

Everyone who goes to this seems to think it's great, and that they've gained some insight. One of our actuaries actually went to see if it was any good, and he thought it was worth sending non-actuaries to.

I went to one. It was worth it. My boss took me, he's a non-actuary and he got something out of it and I learned how to explain ratemaking to non-actuaries like him. My favorites: Rate comparisons can only give you a sense of how the market is doing, and There is no such thing as an uninsurable risk.
