Okay, so I've been a Water Cooler guy for about 6 months and I only posted once (out of fear) and I got a warning note, so I'm out of there and I'm into here. I'm hoping to make some new friends here in the rebel outpost and am already embracing the freedom of posting without repercussion.
So if any regulars on this forum are in a welcoming mood I'd love to hear from ya. Tell me how much you love it here.

Life's pretty good here. The only censorship seems to be of people who feel a need to use obscene language or otherwise be very offensive. PG-13 gets by most of the time. The Societies are totally fair game.

Well then, I'll be the first RF denizen to welcome you. Welcome. That'll be first and last month's rent in advance, please. (They did tell you this was a subscription site, right?)
Just don't feed the trolls, please. We have enough as it is. And they'll make themselves known in short order.

Hey Lockwood, Lamont isn't here. She skipped out for a while.
(I just LOVE "Singing in the Rain"! Especially "Good Morning".)

Don,
I think I've been at the WC less than 6 months and I've been here less than a week (well, I'm currently at both places) so it may not be my place to welcome you - but welcome anyways!
Lurking is not near the fun that participating is. So welcome to the pool.

Seems like there are few of us SINTR fans here. Glad to see you are one Maine-iac!
Glad I'm wearing my bow tie to the informal!

As long as you don't put it in a haiku, it's probably OK, not that the point is relevant at this stage.

they don't seem to like japanese words at the wc. bukkake and haiku = warnings. someone in coos caught a bad disease while on vacation in japan probably.

So, Wolverine - Should I dress as Cathy or Lena?

Definitely Cathy! I foud Lena annoying and "I caan' stan' 'er." To borrow a phrase that is!

What's really bizarre is to hear someone (Marnie Nixon?)dubbing Debbie Reynolds singing voice, while Debbie Reynolds plays Cathy, who is dubbing Lena's voice. But only on some songs. Think about it too much and your head aches.

IMDB lists Betty Noyes as singing on "Would You?"

It credits Noyes with "appearing" in only one other movie, which I had no idea was quite so old!

I thought Debbie Reynolds was dubbed by Jean Hagen, who played Lena.

Am I ever glad I didn't bother to register there.
Now now, since you're playing hostess to all us newcomers please try not to slam our former home. There was lots of quality stuff on the WC, for example the haiku that probably got the thread banned (a tip o' the lid to Lee Mellon!) was obscene but also very funny.

Natasha, people were getting banned for writing poetry and for posting "offensive" words, like "pregnancy" and "math is hard".

Looks to me like the ones in charge of the WC are right in the middle of reading the bestselling SOA pamphlet on "How to turn your profession's discussion board into a desert forum."
