For those of you who ordered and have received your study manual, you will have already noticed that my printer messed up and forgot to three-hole drill them as they usually do. I wasn't made aware of the problem until after they had already been shipped and were on their way to the Actuarial Bookstore. Estimating that it would take 10-14 days to return them, fix the issue and then send them back to the bookstore, I chose to have them sent out as is since I thought students would view a two week delay at this point more unacceptable than having to punch their own holes.

As compensation for having to punch you own holes, I am going to create a few additional (5-7) exam style questions for everyone. These will be different than those included in the separate practice problem set in the case you have also purchased those. I am working with the Actuarial Bookstore to send them out for me to everyone that purchased a manual, in the same fashion you received the pre-releases.

You will notice that similar to CSP this past spring (this being a brand new exam made it challenging to get everything done in a timely manner) the manual was printed without the review problems in an effort to get the manual out as soon as possible. These are the shorter problems that review the numerical concepts presented in the manual and are to start on page 685. If all goes well, you will receive an email from the Bookstore sometime the week of August 20 with the manual review problems and the additional exam style problems referenced above.

I appologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

I have received my GRASP flash cards and exam style problems (the separately sold supplement). However, I have not yet received the review problems that were left out of the manual itself. Has anyone else received these? Are these supposed to be received only via email, or will printed versions be sent as well?

The review problems that are part of the manual are currently available on the website for download. There is only about 10 pages (when printed double sided) so I was hoping it wouldn't be a big problem for everyone to print their own out as sending out a print version would be cost prohibitive.

I have been super busy at work and just got back from a business trip tonight so I am behind on the additional exam style problems offered as compensation for the hole-drilling error. I hope to finish those up this weekend. I'm still hoping the bookstore will email those out for me, along with the review problems for the manual for those who don't happen to check the website.
