Taking my favorite student to the Kanto (Main part of Japan) wide championship speech contest tomorrow. Also getting to be the official chaperone. Yippie...and if she places in the top 6 she gets to compeate in the Japan wide on Sat.. But regardless we both get to spend 2 nights in Tokyo... only trouble is that I have to be on a train in 7 hours and I haven't packed yet.. :o Oops :oops:

An upgrade from an oud. Nothing will make you say, "Screw my heritage!" like 11 strings, no frets, and friction pegs.
My other guitar choice was the ESP MC-600, but that can be my second one for strictly down-tuned crap (if and when). Max Cavalera of Soufly/Sepultura is probably single-handedly my reason for finally seriously picking up the geeetar at my advanced age, so his signature model was high on my list.

The low E is a single string. All the rest are pairs tuned to the same note (no octave difference or anything).

Phone calls from people I haven't heard from in forever at just hte right time...well, sort of the right time...after I woke up and realized the phone was ringing and the caller ID was showing a name I didn't "recognize" cause the cobwebs were still hanging around. ;)
Falling asleep on the couch with my kitty relaxing on my stomach.
