Be tough to get 50 more people in two days. Maybe I should start making up names.

Sure. I'll drop you a free TI30XIIS. I'll ship it to you if you are in the U.S. or Canada.
But to keep it fair, no registering more than 3 usernames per person.

Hey! Get in line behind me and DTNF.:lip:

Just to be clear, I was joking about the adding more names thing. This has always been (going back at least three boards now) the only name I've used.

So, if I de-register the 100 or so names I've made, what will that do to this giveaway?
glenn

DTNF, like everything, it will only delay the inevitable.

What about the 200 other names I've registered?

DTNF,
With over 720 posts as yourself, when do you find the time to post as someone else?

Now I'm hurt.
(Trick: I try to keep the posts as short as possible.)

Obviously anticipating the grand prize, the user know as MEMBER 1000 is our 1000th registered name and takes home a TI30XIIS calculator.
Member 1000, you'll need to PM me with your address.
Also, I promise even better prizes for the 1,000,000 registered user. Perhaps a BA-35!

glenn - after the recent banning of some trolls, we have -996- registered users. looks like you'll have to give away that ba-35 soone than you thought !

Well?
Just kidding. I wanted to be the second 1,000th registered member, that's all.
glenn

Well, I don't see why I can't make up the rules as I go along. Any dissenters?
Member1000 never PM'ed me, and now the name is gone. I assume s/he was part of the recent hit list.
So, our second 1000 registered member WhatdoIwin gets the calculator. PM me with your address and I'll send it out right away.

Who is ""? What happened there?
Can we call you "Blankie"?

Does that mean Traci would allow me to address you as "You Blankety-blank"?
Assuming you can still log in with your non-name and a password, try logging in and choosing "Edit profile". Username is a field that can be changed, so I suppose that it can be changed from something to nothing, or nothing to something.

The blank is not Member1000; the blank joined in October.
Member1000 may have changed his username on his own.

Bob was Member 1000, shortly thereafter Bob noticed he was 993. Member 1000 would be a silly name for Bob then.

Bob, the calculator's yours as far as I'm concerned.
Can your paws can work the keys? They're kinda small, you know.

Actually, Bob finds teeth work better on small buttons.

The true user 1000 can be found (I think) by finding out who was given a user number of 1000. If I correctly understand how these numbers are assigned, this would be the actual 1000th username to be registered, irregardful of bannings, deletions, etc.

Bob not seeking glory, only stating that he registered as Member 1000 originally. First or not as 1000th registered, it was Bob's original ID.

Bob's just sorry he didn't register soon enough. Traci looks oddly familiar, though Bob's not sure why...

Yes, I would like to report a problem to Traci.
Traci, the CAS won't post the passing candidate numbers. Think you could help with that. You seem to be able to work at least minor miracles (taking care of BP), so maybe you could just call up the CAS offices and tell them to post the stinkin' pass list already.
Thanks in advance.

I have to wait until January 11 for mine - so you get no sympathy here.
I had forgotten how much the suspense KILLS me!

Yeah, but when did you take yours? I've been waiting since Oct 30 and I'm waiting on credentials for crying out loud. This is truly driving me crazy right now. I know its childish, but me want, me want, me want now!!!

Now snafu, if Traci can, she'll get them for you, but please be a little patient.
And then, she'll work on the SOA for everyone else!

My exam was only 3 days later than yours - so pipe down!
At least you get to know before the holidays! Which, now that I think about it, might not be such a blessing!
Well - Good luck all!

OK, if the newest user is "Not who you think," then who could he be?
Hmmmmmmmmm.... <:)

Forget about member #1000. I'm just waiting for one more of the earliest members to get banned from the board so that my member # will match my pseudonym. (I've already moved up to member #43.) Mental note to self: need to get a life.

Just called them up and had your way.

Thanks, this was useful.
Thanks, this was useful. No it wasn't; it's a 404 error. What you need is http://www.actuarialoutpost.com/actuarial_discussion_forum/member.php?u=1000, and an appointment with a psychiatrist to discuss your necrothreadaphiliatic tendencies, I'm afraid :dsmile:
