Self-acknowledged attention whore or not, I would speculate that if he were EC, he would be using that avenue as his outlet. It would be foolish (though tempting) to assume he would not realize that his act would draw negative attention. So if he were EC, he would need to cap it somewhat. He seems to have gotten the message tonight, setting aside the act and putting forth actual arguments against people. He had kept up the act beyond the point when it was clear he was drawing significant votes. As EC, he might have had his A.W. schtick but you'd have thought he'd have dropped it earlier if he was worried about the votes. Instead, he seemed to acknowledge it only after a flood of "this is annoying", rather than the flood of "I'm voting for you".
Dumb arguments (they voted for me and I know I'm innocent, so those meanies must be guilty) but arguments nonetheless.
I'm inclined to think of him as moderately innocent.
