Are the 1 pt. t/f questions still going to be asked on this year's exam? I know they removed them from the EA-2A exam, but wasn't sure about this one.

I don't know for certain -- but I'm still expecting them.

There are certain issues that don't lend themselves to numerical/computational type questions -- not to mention it gives the opportunity to test the finer points of the rules and regs for just one point at a time -- so it makes sense to have t/f.

I'm expecting to see more assertion/reason questions. We know how much the Society likes these, and now they put them on 2A. I would not be surprised to see a few of these on the 13th.

Good luck to all!

I'm expecting to see more assertion/reason questions.

What do you mean by that? An example? :duh:

Check out Qs 10-12 on EA-2A for a true example. Here's the jist:

Assertion: The husband of the daughter of the CEO of XYZ is a key employee for Top-Heavy purposes

Reason: Constructive ownership of stock rules dictate that certain family members of key employees are deemed key employees.

A - The Assertion and Reason are both True
B - The Assertion is True. The Reason is a true statement, but not the correct reason for the assertion being true.
C - The Assertion is True and the Reason is False
D - The Assertion is False and the Reason is True
E - Both the Assertion and Reason are False.

I would go with D on this one.

Okay -- I see what you mean -- I had forgotten about those.

I agree with D -- unless there is more info about the husband -- he could be a key for another reason.

Please no reason/assertion. Hate the T/F too, but at least you can fly through them and get to the meat of the problems.
YUCK! YUCK!
