Anybody own a pen scanner?

Anybody ever try one of the pen scanners on the market? Any recommendations? I definitely want untethered optionality, but otherwise I can't tell the difference between most of the options available...

I'm thinking in terms of use for studying for the exam, not for during the taking of it. We have to read so much stuff, I wondered if it would be useful...plus they just look cool :shrug: But I can't tell if there's any one that people have had good/bad experiences with - all the reviews I've read have been pretty similar.
