View Full Version : normal tables
I might be a bit paranoid, but the normal tables would be provided at the exam, right?
I believe that whatever values you might need will be given to you in a mini-table (along with values you may not need).
I have yet to actually sit for an exam where a Q expected you to know anything off the normal or cum. normal table off the top of your head.

On that note, in study note 138, estimation of error in quantile-based VAR, they use the probability distribution function. The function for normal distribution is not on the formula sheet. I guess, we can always estimate the value from the table if they give enough values...
I thought that formula is on page 4, 2nd line from the bottom. correct me if I am wrong.
