I am using the following formula to calculate XSLDF(L,t)
LDF(t) = R(t) * LDF(L,t) + (1-R(t)) * XSLDF(L,t) [basically equation 4.10 given on page 218 Volume 1b]. Can someone explain why this may be wrong coz the ALL 10 guys seem to be doing something else in the solution.
If I am wrong please explain ALL 10 solution. thanks!

i think they are using the formula XSLDF = (change in 1-R) * LDF

shouldn't both give the same result ?

i knew you were going to ask that :)

and I had to fix my post. had the wrong formula.

check and make sure that their limited LDF's = LDF * change in relativity.

If not, then the problem has inconsistent LDFs.

if they do, then both formulas should be yielding the same results

if i am checking correctly it does seem that LDFs are inconsistent. so would you suggest using the other formula to find XSLDFs(L,t) ?

yup, even though both should work imo.
