I am just starting module 1, and I'm wondering whether given the new structure and interim assessment, do I have to take notes when I'm doing these readings, or can I just read and understand? For instance, in one of the readings for module 1 there is a small section on calculation of gross premium using a utility function. Do I need to be able to reproduce calculations of this type? That's a simple example, but I'm sure there are more complicated ones to come. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about notes. Just concentrate on understanding what you read.

Oh, another question. Is it really bad if I keep getting a large number of the multiple choice thingamajigs wrong, even if I diligently read the material? Sometimes the answers just seem like trick questions, and I just can't get them right!

you only need to get them right if they are assigned by your employer!
