View Full Version : MARCH 2008 FAC - When are you leaving Atlanta?

Since we have a reception on Wednesday late into the night, when are folks departing Atlanta? I will miss the last flight out on Wednesday; instead, I'll be flying home Thursday. Just curious how many folks are flying back on Wednesday night.

It says the banquet goes until 9:30, but I imagine it could go later. Even if there are flights available, don't fly home Wednesday night! I would say don't even fly home too early on Thursday morning. Enjoy the celebration!

The reception ended around 11 or 11:30 p.m. for the November FAC. That was probably longer than usual, but I expect the normal one would end around 10:00 to 10:30? I was dead tired after the reception and was glad to be able to go sleep right away. IMO, if you want to attend the reception, stay overnight (unless you live in Atlanta). And yeah, don't leave too early in the morning either. Just sleep in and enjoy!

The November banquet lasted as long as it did because we handed out 204 FSA certificates. The March FAC will have roughly 125 attendees, so the banquet won't last as long. But I can't imagine zooming from the banquet to the airport. Leave Thursday. I will.

I don't even understand why anyone would want to try leaving on Wednesday. Are you just that anxious to get back to work? :)

At the Montreal FAC last August we enjoyed the open bar reception after the banquet and when that was over a bunch of us went out till about 2 in the morning. Make some friends and have fun!! You've waited a long time for this, enjoy :-)
