Ratemaking Seminar

I know it might be early for some, but anyone know if they are going to the CAS ratemaking seminar in March in sunny Florida? I believe it is in Tampa. I am still undecided at this point.

I'm thinking that this might be one of those times for any of us that want to, to meet in real life. I for one would be very interested to head out at least one night to meet some of the friends I have made here and on the WC.

I am planning to be there, then probably on to SF for the RMS conference.
Hmm, maybe I can get someone else to go to the RMS conference, and I can go to Coronado for the AIR conference in April.

How's about we all meet for dinner on the Thursday evening. I'm thinking there will be a reception-cocktail hour type thing. We meet at, say 7pm at the registration area. Whoever shows up is welcome to join for dinner/drinks/etc. We'll figure out where to go when the time comes. Nobody has to reveal their screen names unless they want to (or, are too drunk to stop themselves).

How does that sound?

I like the idea that we meet Wednesday night for whoever is there, then again for Thursday for whoever wasn't there or didn't get enough Wednesday night. I will be getting in right around registration time on Wednesday so I will be up for both nights.
Let's plan on meeting at 7:30 each night at the registration table as the reception ends at 7:30 each night and the table will be free then as registration ends at 7:00. Is this OK?

That wasn't meant to scare you away. Unless you are planning on running for a political office, I think you (we) are safe. We are all in the same position - a little apprehensive about outing ourselves, but if we all agree to remain discreet, I don't see any problem.

It just hit me. I was looking for you guys at the reception itself - at the refreshment table. I guess I saw "registration" and remembered "refreshment."

On Thursday night, I went over to one of the refreshment tables right at 7:30PM. I walked up to a group and said, "I'm supposed to meet someone at 7:30PM. Do you know anything about that?" They looked at me like I was drunk or something. Oh well, I guess there's always next year.

By the way, did you happen to meet Polygamist?
