My dear friends, I just finished all the reading. I am really freaking out, coz it seems that I didn't remember so much of it! What should I do to utilize the rest of the time till exam?? Please help!

Do you have a study manual? If so, focus on the condensed material in the manual...

I do my studying in three layers:
(1) One read through of the actual material, making my own notes
(2) Multiple read through of my notes in combination with a study manual (I have Actex and JAM)
(3) About 3-4 weeks before exam, I will switch to JAM's condensed outline and memorize.

Thanks so much, guys!! I am planning to go through the JAM condensed outline, try to memorize as much as I can. I did have a lot of stuff that I didn't quite understand when I went thru the readings and material, I guess there is not much time left to try to understand everything. What about pass exams? Should I only focus on the questions listed in JAM and ACTEX, are they the only relevant questions? Any of you have gone to the JAM seminar before? I am going next week? Is it useful?

I am also going to the seminar next week. I hope it will give a little guidance on which topics are most testable. I've worked through all of the practice problems in the JAM Study guide as well as last year's exam. I felt like there were relatively few topics repeated in the questions. The one's that were, i was sure to note. (Criticisms of the Black-Scholes model... differences in interest rate models Ho-Lee etc... valuation of options using binomial lattice... Sequential vs. PAC vs. Z-bond etc...)

I don't know, I got a late start due to work load at work. But I am doing all of the readings one by one and copying the outline for each reading, adding and subtracting to it, as I go.

It is working great. It is obviously taking me much longer to get through it once (the outline copying takes about twice as long as the reading), but it really makes sure that I understand it the first time through without having to get stuck on something while I am reading.

I figured I would remember a great deal more the first time through if I made sure i understood it. From there it is just about reminding myself about stuff I already understand enough times until I know it by heart. Well that is after I have a better idea of what material is important enough to remind myself of over and over, which i hope to get a better handle on at the seminar this week.

I am attending the seminar in a couple days, I will be through about 95% of the material by then, which is a smashing success by my standards, given that I started beginning of March and am going through it it relatively great detail.

This is my first time on one of these exams, so I could be going about it all wrong, but I am pleased with my progress to this point. I am getting more nervous now though, given that the exams is getting closer and closer.

The one thing I am doing wrong is writing this when I should be studying.

Bye bye.
