Employees in countries that have enacted pension reforms and rely less on government-sponsored defined benefit retirement systems (e.g., Hong Kong, Chile, and Mexico) generally are more optimistic about their prospects for a comfortable retirement, according to Principal Financial Group.
I guess A*** L*** will try to tell us the people of Chile are just too stupid to know the Chile SS privatization is screwing them.

It was a research study by the Principal Financial Group. A press release type of summary is available at http://www.principal.com/about/news/globalwb061103.htm. There's a link to the executive summary on that page.
Of course, I realize that Principal has something to gain by pusing privatization, but I still tend to believe the results of the study. Privatization gives the ppts a control over their own retirements which is missing from Social Security.
