Glenn,
Is there a way to send a private message to all the WC Chicks at once, so Fiona doesn't know when I'm flirting with them?

LOL!

LMAO here too!
I doubt it can be done though - have to resort to the old copy and paste!

Hey, which one of us was glenn :wink:ing at?
Gandalf

Thanks, Glenn. What a pal. Sending me a PM to explain how to do it, then posting publicly that it's impossible, so Fiona will never suspect a thing.

Hey G, can you forward that pm along buddy?
Uhhh, not that I would ever use it for anything.
Gandalf

OK, Franchise, I've forwarded it to you.
You realize, I trust, that now each chick will expect at least one PM from you each day.
Ammie

Actually, I'm hoping for one from Glenn.

Gandalf - why limit myself to just one?
Gandalf

One what?
My post clearly says each chick will expect AT LEAST one PM from you, so you must not mean just one PM.
Just one clique? Are you proposing starting to flirt with the women of Aimless as well? That's fine with me. Aimless is a loyal but gregarious bunch who have friends outside our own group. Whether the chicks will tolerate that behavior may be another story.

Well of course your post clearly says it, but my eyes didn't clearly read it. LOL
I would be happy to say hello to these "Aimless" ladies of which you speak, if only I knew who they were. Apparently I've missed something.

Aimless women: Mulan, Lara Croft, Natasha Fatale.
Aimless men (active): Hagbard Celine, Obi-Wan Kenobi, me.
Aimless defector: Wolverine.
Current entrance requirement: use "paucity" in a sentence. Repeating OWK's classic:
"Visit Elmer's Paucity! Animal Limbs From All Over The World! Next Exit!"

Hmmm, seems to be a paucity of ladies in Aimless.
I know Mulan a little, and I've seen Lara post occasionally. Natasha is new to me, but I like the name.

Harrrumph!!
You don't think I'm a lady? Or that I'm not aimless enough?
Why was I omitted?
Or was it bacause I failed to join the clique, and then got stuck in a meeting (darn work anyway) just when the official word game began?
Edited to be sure I didn't fail to play the paucity game. Well, there's no paucity of entertainment over here, is there?

I have to admit that I was not aware for a while that Shadow was of the female persuasion. That happens from time to time in cyberspace. I am still learning the genders (real or assumed) of many regular posters.
I also must point out that I passed the paucity test, but refused to defect from the Chicks. I was just hoping I would be welcome everywhere.

Shadow,
You were omitted only because your prior post said "Obi, the recent discussion of membership in the aimless group has seriously tempted me to end my cliquelessness."
We do appreciate your wishing Aimless well in the contest.
Now that you have met the paucity standard, you are welcome to join Aimless officially. I'm not sure there are a lot of benefits, and you may find yourself on Franchise's mailing list.

Of course you're always welcome around us. In fact, we've decided that each member of Aimless should buy you two hurricanes immediately before the next vocabulary contest.

One of the founding members of aimless checking in.
I'm still aimless...

All the aimless men are in the top 25 posters.
What does that say about us?

well, 3 WC Chicks are in the top 25, 5 of 6 are in the Top 50...
One more post, and I'll be in the top 30!

You did it Elmo!

Congratulations, elmo!
But if getting a high ranking on the top posters list is your objective, the desert would be the place to go. Your 106 posts would move you into the #3 spot. Ammie's 224 would have her at #1.
Fortunately, we hope you have other objectives, and will stay with us. You and all the WCCs are more loved here.

Thanks for the invite, elmo! Only one way to find out...
Since it goes until Friday, I may not drop in until Tuesday, just to be on the safe side. Some people celebrate the New Year with gunfire, I believe, and if I read Ammie's blanket invitation correctly, Kimi's invited.
If I had an invitation from Ammie to share a blanket, I would be over right away.

Sorry, elmo, just caught up on that thread and saw the blanket invitation from you. I'll be right over there.
Ammie

LOL! Yes, Kimi is invited. Looks like you're already covered by a blanket, so I better head on over and see how it's going.

Another of my favorite threads, bumped at glenn's request. One unhappy thought: the "Guest" who's participating is elmo, whose original elmo username was lost through no fault of her own.

No fault of her own? I believe she was banned for contributing to the delinquency of a minor (Pi-man).
Gandalf

No, she beat the rap on that charge. Ten witnesses testified Pi-Man had been declared fully delinquent before he met elmo, even if she was able to teach him some new tricks.

It's true, Pi Man was a willing student. :D
As for the aforementioned accidental deleting, please keep in mind that any post count you see of mine, add 220, which is how many I had before the unfortunate incident.
