View Full Version : Opening the Infinite Actuary Handouts?

I signed up for the on-line Infinite Actuary seminar. I know that the 2008 material is not yet available but I have access to the 2007 material. Is anyone else having trouble opening the Handout files? When I try to open them, it says that the compressed (zipped) folder is invalid or corrupt. I've sent a number of emails to their customer service person but she hasn't been able to help me.
Has anyone else ran into this problem?

Have you tried right clicking on the link and clicking save as? Have you tried a different browser?

I've had lots of similar problems opening both videos and handouts from TIA. But if you email Day he usually resolves the problem within a day or two.

Saving the file first and then opening it works for me. Thanks!
They should post this information on their website or at least educate their customer service person so that she can let people know. I've wasted a week trying to figure out how to open the files.

or at least educate their customer service person so that she can let people know. She is new. We tell her everything we can think of, but sometimes things (like this) slipped our minds.
I've wasted a week trying to figure out how to open the files.I'm sorry.

Sorry about this too. I'll get this information posted on our site under the FAQs. I apologize but I've been on vacation for the past week and have been trying my best to keep up with all the emails. I know this is too late, but a simple phone call (toll-free 888-TIA-1006) would have solved the problems more quickly. This might be useful for the future if you run across technical problems for which you need immediate help. Thanks!

Thanks for the information. I will call next time. I should have realized many people are out on vacation because of the upcoming holiday.
