SOA claimed that "candidates should expect to spend approximately 50-60 hrs completing all of the activites included in a module".

I was amazed of how it can be finished in only 50-60 hours. Right now, I am reading every single word in the materials and I would say that 50-60 hours can not even fiinish half of the readings and exercises.

For those who finished/nearly finish the module, are you actually skimming or skipping the readings? Do you think reading every single word (or just skimming) would be helpful for the EOM exercise?

Thanks.

I saw a lot of this material on DP last year, so I was able to skim Investment Guarantees. My read-through time came in under 20 hours. Even with fast reading and skimming the material I'd seen before, I'm not sure I could account up to 50 hours for reading.

The EOM exercise, however, will surely push me into that realm. I'm simply too OCD to not spell check every five minutes.

I've been working on the FAP modules, and I've found that the time estimates for that are much lower than how long it has been taking me. I'm not surprised that the same would hold for the FSA modules.

But how about the readings? Do you think they are helpful the EOM exercise?

The FAP readings? I've been doing almost all of them, but as a general rule I'd say you could do the exercises without them. From what I've read elsewhere, the FE exercise is closely related to one of the readings.

More than one, actually. I wouldn't recommend skipping them entirely. Then again, I also wouldn't recommend memorizing flash cards based off of these readings.
