What do you do on exam result day? I'm on the West Coast so the result come out around lunch time. We usually go out afterwards and celebrate or drown in one's sorrows making sure the passers pay. After all, no work can be completed anyways...

Yup, the marks will be on the SOA website. Used to be able to guess the URL and get the marks a few minutes ahead of time (like http://www.soa.org/fall01/course4.html or something), but I think they've fixed that.

I offered the SOA webmaster access to my server so that they could simultaneously post the marks here, maybe help with server load, but they politely declined. Does the server still go down due to traffic?

I think that you can still get the results a few minutes early. You just click on the November 2000 results and change the address to november01. I usually will get into the results before it crashes due to excess traffic by doing this.

Guessing the actual address keeps you from having to click through from the SOA home page with the other sheep and cows.

It bogs down for the first 5 minutes. After someone in each company prints the passing candidate numbers, no one from that company should have to go and double-check.

The SOA should release each exam's list at different time, since only a few take more than one at one sitting.

And, could everyone refrain from believing any list that shows up here before they're released by the SOA?
I can't stop people from posting them. There always exists at least one cruel person who thinks it's funny to post a previous list and change the heading. But please folks, dial back the gulli-bull meter, ya nin-cow-poops!

The results usually come out at 5pm eastern time. It is an absolute torture to have to wait the entire day for the results to be posted. I am getting anxious just thinking about it. Good luck to everyone.

I have gotten final results as early as 2pm central...One thing for sure everyone associated with the exams is long gone soon after they are posted there at SOA headquarters...

Is anyone here so sure of an impending doom that they are just going to wait for the results to come in the mail? I've decided that's the best way for me!

While I think I also failed, I don't think I could wait another 3 days to find out. I have this glimmer of hope that I am wrong in my assumptions.

Anyone know the exact time the results went up? I know I came back from a meeting at 2:30 central and they were up (no link yet) and the board here was crashed or just too busy to access...

I believe they came out between 2:00 and 2:10 central. This board crashed almost immediately.

I was at the cube of a colleague who was hitting "refresh" on the C4 page. At 3:09 (EST) the numbers appeared. He had last hit refresh approximately 2 minutes earlier.
