On the question by question results sheet that we got in the mail today, it notes that the average decile scores does not produce a meaningful result, because the adjusted standard for passing is determined for the whole examination, not individual question performance. What does this mean? My weighted average is 5.6. Does this mean nothing?

There are threads on this (probably somewhere in the general SOA exam forum).

The problem is that the "pass mark" for each individual question that is used to give you those results does not add up to the overall, real pass mark. The point of the by-item breakdown is to give you an idea of your relative performance on each item, so you can see where you were weak and where you were strong. But you can't back out your actual score from the individual scores.

Thanks - Just frustrated with myself because I was super close.
