Is this being released?
:bump:
And a bump to bring this to TIA attention. I still can't get this online either.

Well I am little annoyed at this point. They said the end of JULY and now it says on there website 9/1/2008. I am not sure what the delay is. I would really like to have flashcards and such.
I'm sorry but for the memorization package, I don't recall every saying that it would be released by the end of July. On the website, it always said 9/1 as the delivery date for the flash cards. I apologize if someone gave you other information, but I will refund you your money if you contact me. We will be releasing the electronic material over the next few weeks. I am very busy these days and don't visit the AO much so please contact me for fastest reply. You can call me at 888-TIA-1006. Thanks.

Mo,
can it still be released as schedule (i.e. 9/1/2008)?
I am getting a little frustrated. I know the site said 9/1 for the cards, but since nothing else was mentioned, I figured the e-files were basically available when I ordered. I emailed and heard back from Jennifer that the efiles may not even be there until 9/1. I really wanted to get the "mind map" skeletons (which must all ready exist) as that is my typical way to organize anyhow (except usually by hand which would take too too long). I guess I just wish the site had been more clear that the whole package might not be available until 9/1 versus only mentioning the cards.
And no, I dont want a refund at this point...I want my study material.

You can't start complaining until you don't get the mind map material until 4 days before the exam (as was the case with the CSP exam)....
that being said, I believe the website says the memorization package won't be available until 9/1 - which includes flash cards, mind map & MP3 audio flash cards so I am not sure where your expectations were led astray.
I guess just try to focus on the material you have available to you instead of the material that you don't.....easier said than done, I realize!
thanks Laura.
I know I should be worrying less about that, but I got a 5 last year so I am kind of at a loss at to what to do now ya know.
Also, I swear the TIA site said 9/1 for the cards and did not address the rest before. Now, when I go, it says the whole package. I could be crazy but I would like some confirmation :)

The clock is ticking and I am seriously considering if it is worth to wait for TIA pack. Or should i switch to other package now?
I am particular intested in the mind map which I never use this tool before, does it help to improve studying/ memorizing?
Suggestion Pls.

He said last night but, that turned out not to be true.
Any updates on this yet??
I emailed early yesterday and havent heard anything. I also used the "contact us" form today. This is so frustrating to not have the e-files at the least.
Did Day mention a DATE when anything would be available besides "in the mail or at seminar"?
argh

A MindMapper link was added to the TIA site. You need to download a viewer from the MindMapper website in order to open any of the files. (the link in the TIA website wasn't working for me so here
http://www.mindmapper.com/down/down.asp )
Only the first section is up right now but it looks interesting.

Although I'm not ready to use this yet, but I'm curious to see how it works. I think Day should send us an instruction on how it works for new users like me. I don't know if I should install the professional version, academic version, or standard version, ect.

Is there any updated ETA on the flashcards?
If I recall correctly, the TIA memorization pack was offered for CSP last sitting. The flashcards were, in my opinion, subpar. The memory map software was available at a discount and was advertised as including the CSP material map. There were several delays and only the very first section of the syllabus was published prior to the exam date. This isn't a bash, just trying to recall the facts. Anybody feel free to jump in and correct me.
With only four weeks remaining to the exam, it seems to me the mind map and/or flash cards would be of limited value... we should be well into the memorization and cognitive compaction phases by now. Good luck!

JB was a great presenter. The online seminar was also very nice. TIA in general (ie memorization packet, information added to website) has been terrible and will not use TIA Materials or recommend them. We are almost to 10/1 and was guaranteed the material would be in hand 9/1. This is an extreme stretch.

This was my opinion after the CSP exam: when we didn't receive the mind maps until 4 days before the exam (and then only received the first part).
I think the DP seminar is great and would recommend Jeremy Bill a thousand times over....but I wouldn't recommend the rest of the TIA material. I don't feel like they have a bad product, I just feel like they took on more than they can handle and in the end its the students who get screwed. If they stopped trying to be everything to everyone they'd have more much more success....
I also feel like they have been horrible with communication this sitting. I understand that sh*t happens and that maybe the printing people messed up the flash card printing TWICE....but as customers we have received no notification about what is going on or when to expect the material (other than 9/1 which has clearly passed)....I think that would go a long way in placating people's gripes right now.
Disclaimer: this is only an opinion of one person. do with it what you will.....you are certainly entitled to your own opinions.....

Is anyone having trouble opening the jpeg and mp3 files? When I try at home, it says the file is invalid or corrupted, and when I try on my work computer, the zip file opens but there's nothing in there. I e-mailed Day about this (and the fact that we still don't have the flashcards) on Tuesday but have not heard back yet.

I finally got a hold of Day yesterday. He said the flashcards were mailed earlier this week and I should expect them "early next week, if not today." He helped me with the issue I was having downloading the rest of the memorization package, but now as I'm adding it to my ipod, I'm getting very frustrated. Does anyone else feel like there's a LOT missing from the Part A flashcards? For CSP, I liked theirs better than ACE or Actex, so this time I only ordered TIA, but now I'm worried that was a mistake. It would have been nice if I had realized this on 9/1 when we were supposed to get this stuff instead of on 10/4...
Just curious at this point...has anyone received the flashcards?
Also a note...I think the mind maps are missing some material. The glaring thing I noticed (basically because I HATE the material) is the material from New World Product Development (four-fields mapping, ladder, etc).

It this a TIA problem, or is it a TIA-DP problem? I was happy with the online seminar for DP, and I was thinking about using their mind-mapper and flashcards for CSP next spring, but I don't like what I am reading in this thread.

Honestly, I've heard from other students that they've been having issues with TIA on other exams and I for one was NOT impressed with CSP memorization package.
I realize that CSP was the first time they offered this package and that was probably half of the problem.....but given the mess with DP, maybe that wasn't the issue. For CSP the flash cards were 1 sided (which if you ask me defeats the purpose of a 'flash card') and we got section A of the mind mapper material 4 days before the exam (again, I doubt this would be an issue for 2009, but at this rate who knows).
Given their lack of communication and inability to provide appropriate study material for this exam my recommendation is (and has been) to use the Online/Live seminar from TIA (although I didn't like TIA's live seminar for CSP) and rely on ACE for all other material......but this is just MY OPINION!

Well seeing as how I can barely get a reply from them and it'sone week from the exam, I think I'll just focus on studying what I do have and harrass TIA/spread the lack of delivery word about the company next week.

I doubt it will be done automatically. Day made a big stink last time about how much the mind mapper material cost and that we were getting way more than the $200 we paid. I wouldn't be surprised if he refused refunds or didn't give complete ones because of all the other 'memorization package' items we did receive.
Not that I agree, but there were other things in this package that were provided to us.

Did anyone ever follow up with Day regarding a refund? He told me that people are threatening lawsuits and that he might not be in business by the end of the year. Now I feel bad for him :-(
I would think he overpromised and refused to admit to himself that he might not be able to deliver. If the flashcards were available online to those that purchased them, perhaps the definition of "flash cards" was misunderstood. Were hardcopies promised?
I hope this gets resolved amicably. It would be a shame to lose a resource for study material, just because an ancillary study tool was overlooked. Solid seminar, solid study guide, solid videos. mind map and paper flashcards just didn't pan out.

Try sending an email to Day to see if there's something he can do to make amends for you. Yes, printed flash cards were promised as part of the memorization package, but they were only a part. I would not expect a refund for the entire package because one part was not available.
