Is anyone using the new actex manual? What do you think about it? I was about to order the JAM but I am having second thoughts.

Sounds like everyone uses JAM for the most part. Actex's manual for AFE was terrible. I don't think I would ever buy another manual from them.

I second this.

I received the JAM flashcards yesterday, and I feel MUCH better than when I received the Actex flashcards for AFE 6 months ago. These are laid out MUCH better, they're not just cut and paste from the study guide (they actually condense the ideas and have a single premise on the front side), it includes a mnenomic aide section (not included in actex, should be helpful), and there are 30 blank cards that can be used for personal lists. Obviously I haven't gone through them all as I'm trying to catch up with the readings (I'm at ch. 4 of M&A book), but from a brief glance, I'm impressed.

I totally wish JAM would make AFE materials...
