New practice exams??

I'm going to take Course 1 in Nov and want to know which Manuals are good too. I saw someone in the forum said that the Software from the Salt got lots of practise questions similar to those in the exams. I'm just wondering whether the publishers just changed some numbers or wordings and made those questions similar the SOA exams or they are all new questions?

I used the software from Salt for the May 2003 exam, and I got a 9. The questions that SALT created are not identical to the SOA exam questions (as in just changing the wording and numbers). They are pretty similar to the SOA questions in concepts, and I found that they were very useful. There are 4 Salt exams (as well as the SOA exams) that come with the software. You can also get a new exam for free a couple weeks before the exam starts. The software is also quite reasonably priced (just above $30 US).
FYI, I was pleased enough with the Salt Conquer Course 1 software that I already have the Salt Conquer Course 2.
