You are an evil, evil man. I'm going to go back in time and kill your granfather when he was still young. I just hope we're not brothers.

Cool, you're a NYC Triathlete? I ran my first triathlon this summer and it was a WONDERFUL experience. I will definitely run in at least one this summer. I need to work on my swimming techniques though.

Nanae7: Yes, I just got into tri's this summer too. I am a long distance runner and I kept getting injured so I needed to crosstrain. I bought a bike, learned how to swim (at 25) and I am soooo hooked. Swimming is my worst event too. You would appreciate this: http://www.metrotri.com/Petyas_first_Tri.htm

Needless to say--training and studying is a BRUTAL combo...Good luck with results...I took Part 4.

That really is mean. I took Course 1 the first time it was offered. They delayed the results twice, a week each time. That was unbelievably awful.

I guess that makes 3 of us who started triathalons this summer and are waiting for these d*mn results.

Where does it say that they are delayed?

Where are you getting your info -- can it be independently confirmed? lol

I guess so. Wow!!! The actuaries I work with are not all that athletic so they all think I am a freak for doing all that. But the truth is--the sport attracts really intense types and actuaries certainly are.

hey, I resent that! I'm just kidding... I do consider myself athletic though and love playing sports, even though I know exactly what you are talking about. Most have too much booksmarts to do that

Thanks for that cool website. I can imagine it would be tough training and studying at the sametime. I just took 1 so was not studying at the time of training. But the training makes you feel so good. I'm also amazed with you at the fact there are actuaries on this website who've done triathlons. Just so cool Only a few more minutes til time.... aaaahhhhh

what would you fellow triathaletes rather be doing, getting off your bike and starting the run with your legs feeling like bricks, or sitting at your desk hitting refresh every other minute?

Do I even need to answer that?

I think it's pretty obvious. I'm not a triathlete, but d*mn, my finger is getting a good workout.

I would even RATHER be swimming than hitting refresh while my stomach is in knots.

After trying to pass exams and do triathlon, I decided that it was better to just put all of my eggs back into the running basket. I really respect all the people that take the time to really train for triathlon while they have careers, family, etc.

I'd rather be swimming too! Then do a couple of the transitions from bike to run where your legs feel like jello!! gosh this just kills me!
