Based on my re-reading the Bluhm section "Economic Issues in Trend Analysis" and my trying to reconcile the various "components of trends" lists (page 679 of the condensed outline and its corresponding flash cards), I think that the GRASP list for "economic factors that affect trend analysis" is inaccurate. I was confused at first read of that list because population health is included as a micro-economic trend factor, which doesn't seem right.
All of the items from the micro-economic part of the list are listed out in Bluhm page 765, but the text that follows the list says "while some of these factors impact micro-economic decisions affecting the individual consumption of health care, other factors affect the macro-economic aspects of health care." The end of the following paragraph then explicitly lists micro-economic factors influencing the individual's consumption of healthcare, some of which overlap with the GRASP list. They are: individual health status, access to care, availability of insurance, and PCP actions.
I'm going to slightly modify that list to reflect what is written in the text book.
