I noticed on an earlier message that someone recommended the seminar in New York City taught by Weishaus. I have looked everywhere and cannot locate any information about it. Could someone please tell me where I can find more information about this seminar?

Thanks!

The date for the above mentioned seminar is pretty early. Generally speaking, students are encouraged to have already studied the materials at least once before attending review seminar.

Does this mean people should have already gone over the material once by February 21st?
Which does not leave much time as at now. Unless one starts studying right after November 2001 or have already taken course 4 before?

This seems to be a "teaching seminar" rather than a "review seminar"; thus the early starting date, and the regular twice-a-week format.

Thank you for clearing up my confusion For Tal! Because I was really worrying about my study progress, thinking that most people will cover all the materials at least once by end of February!

Are you going to the seminar For Tal?

Caramel,

You're welcome. Whether I will go to a seminar depends on my Course 3 score, which I have just passed. I would only go to a C4 seminar if I get a 6 or 7. But if I go, I will choose a review seminar, probably the one in New York offered by Broverman (actex).

Hello Fort Tal,

Where can we find out about Broverman's review seminar for course 4? Have you been in any of his seminar before? He is the author for Actex 1 and 4 actually! I think it would be very beneficial to attend his seminar

I went to Abe Weishaus's Course 4 seminar this past sitting. It was GREAT. I highly recommend it. It's awesome to have a human being explain this stuff to you as opposed to reading it from the really really bad books on the syllabus. You can ask lots of questions and stuff as well. I went to the seminar religiously and paid attention and took really good notes and then did the two Actex Manuals cover to cover and went over the old exams twice and I passed on the first try.

I took Abe's class as well and also passed. I did not read textbooks or Actex, but used Mahler study guide and ASM manual.
Good luck everybody

Good Morning Caramel,

Broverman's seminar info can be found at
http://www.actexmadriver.com/SEMsab.htm
I've never been to a seminar, and I would also consider going to a different one, if the date and location are even more convenient for me. In general I would prefer to go somewhere in the Northeast about a month before the exam, so that's why I've picked Broverman's (I also don't know about other seminars schedules).
