GSU was great - Follow Batten -> he is the key - however NEAS has Mahler who i'd suggest to avoid like the plague! He just gives you too much irrelevant information which is a big waste of time. There's 3 prof's which teach what Mahler does in a clearer more concise format at GSU.
I C3 passed with a score of 8. No more math exams! On to C6! Whohoo..

I'm considering the MAF seminar in Chicago - any feedback? I definitely want to be exposed to Batten - any thoughts on if the other half of the seminar is good? I have Mahler's notes - but I thought two perspectives might help.
Also - any comments on the new ARCH seminar also in the Chicago area, or the ARCH study notes?

How quickly do the seminars fill up?
I am in the process of changing jobs and think it would be easiest to wait until after I start my new one to sign up, but that won't be until the beginning of February.

Austin = Daniel = PASS
It's great to get the whole seminar from 1 person.
He tells you up front what you need to know to get an 8. I learned what he said and got an 8. It's pretty intense, but well worth it.

Any suggestions for Seminars for Course 3 in Boston?
I wouldn't spend money on anyone else besides Batten. I can't say anything about Mahler, having not taken him, but I didn't get anything out of the GSU profs who taught Mahler's material. Batten was the reason I passed (1st try).

I was enrolled for the Boston seminars, but I was informed by someone who attended that the two teachers primarly regurgitate the Actex manual. Your time is better spent self-studying.

I blush to boost my own seminar, but take a look at the pass rates for the participants in the Austin 3 Seminar: http://www.actuarialseminars.com .

I strongly agree with the formula
Daniel seminar in Austin = PASS C3 EXAM
I took his seminar. I guarantee you that if you follow his suggestions how to study and prepare for the exam you'll get at least an 7!! I highly recommend it!!
You can tell me later...
Good luck!
Don't know much about Austin seminar.
I think Batten's pass % is just as high, if not higher if I remember correctly from talking with him.
That being said, and by the fact that I've been to his seminar, I would strongly recommend going with him.
I can't tell you rather to go to GSU or NEAS. Personally, I went to NEAS. Mahler is ok, but you can use his notes without going to his part of the seminar. His notes are pretty phenomenal I might add.
Good luck!

Didn't even look at the Batten material before I went to his seminar for C3 (MAF). I only went to his half of the seminar and used Mahler's notes for other half. Definitely the way to go! Didn't hear anything to great about the other guy.
