Is the Utility Section in Lesson 5 (Risk-Neutral Pricing) featured in the syllabus?

BPP didn't cover this. I know it's not that much material but the less time I have to spend on this = more time I can spend on other areas.

Yes it is; it was just added. Is your BPP current?

I can't say whether they'll really test on it. None of the sample questions deal with it.

Thanks! My BPP study guide is current although this version was available since last November and I'm not sure when the syllabus was changed.

They announced the change in syllabus during the second week of November, when the spring syllabus was introduced.

That section is actually quite easy to understand, you won't need to spend too much time on it, believe me.

Has this been tested?

The ASM practice problems use some crazy formulas - seems like a lot to memorize. Does anyone have a concise way of thinking about it be able to derive more than memorize?

I don't think I've seen it in the 3 times I've taken this exam...but they've pulled some obscure things off the syllabus, so I wouldn't NOT study it on that basis. Aren't most of the formulas just variations of each other? Once you know the basics you can figure out the rest if you have to?
