by sample questions i mean EXAM problems

I'm just starting this thread to see if anyone has looked into this yet...I'm going to start soon. I suppose we'll have to look at some old fall exams too?

Is a better question which old questions are irrelevant?

Yeah I am also current looking into it. Not sure how we can find out which exam qs are relevant or not for this 2009 APM exam.

Any clue?

Here's my first pass, I would appreciate a second set of eyes. It is relatively easy for 07/08 exams to tell what is on the syllabus. The solutions reference syllabus sections and related readings. Also on previous exams there was Hull material, which we don't have to worry about this time around (with some minor exceptions, detailed below.)

2008: SKIP 4, 5, 11, 12, 17, 20, 21(?)
2007: i threw out about half of this exam*. KEEP 1-3, 7,8,11,12,19-21 . Not sure about number 10.

*other related concepts and parts of discarded problems that may be "testable" are - weaknesses of Black Scholes, RN models, stochastic appropriateness.

Since '07 had a lot tossed, there might be some crossover from the Fall FETE.

I don't know if I'll have time to look at other past exams.

Thanks ...this is very helpful.

For what it's worth, Carmody specifically goes over a part of this question in his online seminar. He mentions that we should be able to do the calculation part but doesn't mention whether the rest of the question is still fair game.

Would like to confirm that dynamic hedging are not in our 2009 APM syallabus?

Hence, 2003 Q19, 2004 Q4, 16 are not relevant to our exam?

Thanks.

For 2008, question 22 (a) (ii) - the sample solution came from V-C116-07. I am wondering can I skip the Goldman Sachs prepayment model? I still have a lot of stuff to put in my brain...
