Hi everyone,
I just stumbled upon this site in the course of my job searching, I think it's neat that there are these university sub fora. Anyways, as other people have posted there is a new Actuarial Science degree for undergrads and to go with that, my friend and I set up the Actuarial Student Association at UTD earlier this spring.
So far we've hosted one event which brought some actuaries from Mercer in to speak with students. There's another one in the works. We also are helping students study for exams 1 through 4 and offer some help for classes as well.
I don't know how many people at UTD may visit this site and if they do, they probably already know of ASA but just in case!
Here's the website: www.utdallas.edu/orgs/asa
Cheers!
