JERUSALEM — In a blunt and belligerent speech on his first day as Israel (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/international/countriesandterritories/israel/index.html?inline=nyt-geo)’s new foreign minister, the hawkish nationalist Avigdor Lieberman (http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/people/l/avigdor_lieberman/index.html?inline=nyt-per) declared Wednesday that “those who wish for peace should prepare for war” and that Israel was not obligated by understandings on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (http://www.america.gov/st/texttrans-english/2007/November/20071127142803eaifas0.8996393.html) reached at an American-sponsored peace conference in late 2007.

When their citiziens hold powerful postions like chief of staff you will not see this. I often question who is he working for US or them?

Israel for some reason has huge amounts of control and power over the US.

If Obama were to use his position to prop Kenya up, America would have a problem with that. It's ashame they don't feel that way about Israel.
