Pakistan will continue to supply arms and fuel to the Taliban, as they have done the last 20 years. The ties are too close. If you took a popular vote, a large % of Pakistani's would support the Taliban over the USA. Their current leadership is unelected and unpopular, and their statements are meaningless.

To continue, anyone have any ideas as far as who else can we can ally with in the area?

Don't matter nothin'. They've given flyover permission and a base of operations (if I'm not mistaken), so we can hit Afghanistan. As for the rest, who cares. We come in, set up shop, take out Bin Laden, and ignore them in the meantime.

True, but it would be nicer if the Taliban didn't have a supply of guns and fuel coming in.

I heard that the Iranians hate the Taliban more than they hate the US. Apparently the Taliban's religious convictions are not too strong to prevent them from producing a lot of heroin for the money. Rather ironic that other Muslim nations dislike them because they are drug dealers, when they claim to be so pure to Islam.

"We come in, set up shop, take out Bin Laden.."

You apparantly expect him to raise his hand and say "Here I am!" so we can shoot him???

How, exactly, do you expect to find him?

Why do you think he will wait around for us to find him?

Maybe that's why the Iranians have been sending all these positive messages lately? Recently their mayor spoke with Guliani. Very strange, unless they're trying to ally with us to take out their enemy.

Wow, the nutcases are out. Did I say *I* expected to find him? Did I *say* I expected him to stick around?

Clearly (to some), it's going to take the full strength of the US military to dig him out, and that job will be made easier with access to Afghanistan through Pakistan. Go look at a map, it will make more sense to you then.
