It is time for a console-specific survey! We will start with a 24 game, 5 round tournament for the NES. Voting for each match will last about one week. The games were carelessly chosen based on websites recommended by Google. Since all of the sites failed to mention one of my favorites, Pro Wrestling, it will be used for some of my tie-breakers.

In the event of a tie, we will be dusting off our consoles to determine a winner. While it would be nice to use the console & games involved, anything that you can think of is fair game. Possibilities included:

• Time to reach a location, finish a level or beat the game

• Points, coins or extra-lives collected

• Enemies defeated

• Lives lost

• Smash Bros. Battle

• Attempts needed to load the cartridges
If a particular match does not interest you, feel free to do something similar to determine your vote. The point is to have fun replaying some of these great games!

You know, I like Dragon Warrior a lot, but I think Legend of Zelda is my #1 NES game, and the one I've played the most.

The DARK KNIGHT attacked before ADOUBLEDOT was ready!

Thou hast sustained 24 damage.

Thou art dead.

I have to go with Zelda here.

Although Dragon Warrior has much more memorable dialogue:

Thou art dead.

Dost thou love me? No. But thou must. Dost thou love me? No. But thou must! and so on.

And of course, toward the end of the game, when the dragonlord offers to share his rule with you, and if you accept, he kills you and the game just freezes. I chose that option the first time I played and waited like ten minutes to see what would happen. Ugh. :p

I forgot about that one. How did the one with final boss go? When he asked you to join up, he made you say you wanted to join two or three times and then my whole NES locked up and the screen went red and I had to hit reset and hope I saved recently.
