Tough to vote against Naked Gun. To this day I still sneak in Frank Drebbin's version of the National Anthem when I'm at ballgames.

Vote goes to Naked Gun. At least when the bad guys shoot off a volley and can't hit the broad side of a barn, it's SUPPOSED to be a joke.

This surprises me. I didn't know so many people like Beverly Hills Cop. I was surprised it mad it out of the first round and even more surprised it is winning in this one.

Can we get a summary thread where the first post is updated to contain the brackets? You could even have the most recent vote total and a link to the thread if you are talented.

It's all you, AA. The brackets are pretty obvious. Game 1 & 2 winners become Game 1 of the next round, so on and so forth.

We can even name the 4 different brackets, like the "Star Wars" region, "Indiana Jones" region, etc.

Overall, very well done. Great acting, soundtrack, funny lines, I can see this over and over again.

What happens if there's a tie?

In the event of a tie, I will determine the winner by some method (most likely flipping a coin or polling three people I know who have seen both movies).

Really? It was a pleasant enough two hours, but it strained credibility enough that I never felt motivated to see it again. And my standards of credibility for a comedy aren't all that high.
Not that Naked Gun was credible, but it was intended to be absurd, so the absurdities didn't jar. BHC was in that limbo land of too unrealistic to be believable, but not unrealistic enough to be really absurd.
BHC isn't a bad movie, it's just not all that great in my mind. The only thing that stands out above the norm is Eddie Murphy's performance, which was enough to make it a hit, but not enough to make it durable.

BHC is more rewatchable than NG. I voted for NG, cause I remember being in pain laughing at it.

The one factor that swayed me away from Naked Gun was OJ.

Seriously? Please tell me that OJ swayed you because of his acting, not because of his criminal history.

His acting IS criminal.

I've seen Naked Gun like a hundred times, and I still laugh so hard it hurts every single time. It never gets old. I'm hoping for a Naked Gun-Airplane finals, although I don't think I could bring myself to vote against either one ever.
