View Full Version : FROR Module & CERA credential
Hello ... I am pursuing FSA in Finance/ERM and CERA. I am looking to sit for AFE exam in Spring 2010 and FROR module within next two months. Suppose I succesfully complete the FROR module and pass the AFE in 2010 can I be granted CERA by 6/30/2010 (according to transition of credit I should get the FR module for FSA but it's less clear if I will get the current OR module to complete the CERA needs {assuming I pass the AFE in spring 2010} ... but definitely I will need to do the advanced OR for FSA)?
Awaiting your toughts (including from SOA officials).
Regards,
ACS
The result for 2010 AFE Spring Exam is usually released around mid. July. If you pass the FROR before that and pass the 2010 AFE spring exam, you will become a CERA at the end of July.

I found this on CERA Web site ... does this contradict your assertion? It only refers to already FSA even though there's no reason why it should be different for ASAs passing AFE after Fall 2009 ...
FSA & ASA Exam Process
The CERA Credential for FSAs and ASAs
Members who have already attained an FSA and are seeking the CERA designation must successfully complete the Advanced Finance/ERM (AFE) examination. Those Fellows who pass the AFE exam after the Fall 2009 administration will also be required to complete the Enhanced Operational Risk module (to be released Fall 2009).
ASAs should contact the Registrar at the SOA office to find out their current credit status and remaining credits needed for the CERA credential.
