Does your company have a study room/library available only to the actuarial students?
Thanks

yes, several of them.
Yes, but it's a room nobody wants. The lighting is terrible, and it's often very warm. Plus it smells funny and the chairs are the rejects that people have broken over the years.
We typically either study at our own cubicles, or go to conference rooms when nobody else is using them.

We have an actuarial library, but it is small and most students prefer to study in conference rooms or at home

We don't. There aren't enough of us taking exams to justify such a thing.

We have three study rooms with several desks each. They are windowless, poorly ventilated, but well lit and far away from consultants' offices.
However, in our firm's infinite wisdom, one of these rooms is periodically commandeered for seated massage therapy. Yet when it came time to cut costs, 100 people lost their jobs. I hope they all got a free massage on their last day.

No study room. Massage part of my benefits package, though.

We have a nice room to use. Once in a while someone from the dept uses it for a meeting, but it's not available for general use in the co.

Well, no study room, since I'm the only actuary here. But I have an office with real walls and a door, so that's OK.
Students often use open offices. I generally study at my desk with headphones on. No designated room.

actually, people use ours to study in. The lighting is good, and there are study carrels in it, but it's in the middle of another department, so the folks who work outside the room are, well, loud. And, they tend to store stuff in the room, especially in the "off" months. Other folks have tried to take the room for office space, but we've managed to fight them off.
I tend to study at my desk with headphones on or earplugs in.

No official study room, but there is a small conference room that is usually available. After Course 2, we can take our study time at home.

Same situation for me (only actuary). My door even has a lock but, alas, 2 of my walls are windows, one to the outside one to the inside, so there are distractions from outside and I can't hide from the people inside.

I only have one window, small, outside.
It overlooks the parking lot and front door, so it's not too distracting. Unless the material is REALLY boring. Then I will look out the window to see who is sneaking out early.

No study room. But people rarely study in the office. Study time is almost always taken in units of a day, so people study away from the office. My usual "study room" is one of two coffee shops on the Upper West Side (NYC). I go in, buy a coffee and a danish, and start studying. Since these places are usually empty until late afternoon (lots of take out, though), the employees simply leave me alone.
