Hockey pool - an update

Well I just thought it would be a good time since we're at mid-season to look at how that pool is going.

I say it's going well. Of course, the fact that I'm in first place today (tie with Ammie) might be a bias.

Now Kid Rock said a few months ago that he'd catch up and be in the lead for the Olympics. Any update on that ? :wink:

I don’t want to suggest that I am going to win the hockey pool but I will easily smack the smiles off the Canadian contingent.

I, am mere Texan, will prove, just like the Dallas Stars, that a winner isn’t necessarily the one so irrational as to live in a colder climate. Now there are many good teams in the hockey pool and I wouldn’t want to insult them but everyone should acknowledge the days of Canadian hockey dominance are over.

Jed and Ammie will lose. Mark my words.

Ammie, never admit a lack of knowledge concerning sports unless you integrate it into the trash talk. For example, “It must be embarrassing to be losing to someone without a passing knowledge of the sport.”

Ebenezer knows well enough that the Slytherin banner is destined to hang upon the rafters. Right wing was my weakest position before Amonte. His presence will quickly loft Slytherin back into first.

I assume Lindros-Free is American, so he should be tough to beat, but beating the Canadians Jed and Ammie should be no problem whatsoever. Canadians don't represent any real competition in hockey. This includes both the NHL AND the Olympics!
