Can I send VEE CLEP score to SOA even with only one exam passed?

Hi everyone,

I need your help regarding this. I just passed Exam P/1 on Nov sitting and decided to take VEE econ, probably this January. But they say that you need to pass 2 exams first before applying to SOA for VEE credit? So will it be fine to send scores to SOA anyway?

Fine in what sense? You won't get credit for it so why would you send it to them?

I would sent it. If you don't send it automatically when you take the CLEP, it is a $20 fee later to have your transcript sent from CLEP to the SOA.

This is my concern as well. I don't want to pay $20 if I won't be sending the CLEP scores right away. But my problem as well is that will it be credited after when I pass my second exam? I am afraid they may discard my sending of the score since I haven't passed 2 exams yet. Thanks.

Funny, we are in a similar position. I tried calling SOA Customer Service to ask too and had to leave a message with someone who never returned my call. I figure, why pay $20 later if the SOA will retain the transcript when they receive it, so that ready to apply for VEE credit they already have it.

I guess I'll try calling again..

FYI, I e-mailed SOA and they said that they are keeping transcripts from CLEP for approximately 2 years and will wait for the candidates VEE credit application.
